About 43 people total, mostly beginning ‘ukulele players, participated in two free 1-hour workshops held on Saturday morning and one workshop in the afternoon of the Maui Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival at Kaanapali Hotel. The workshops were held outdoors once again under the “Chapel Hut.”
New this year, people could pre-register online (the only workshop you could do so). Our numbers of participants were definitely higher that what we saw at other workshops. Since we were not performing at the Sunday brunch, we left the hotel after the workshops were done (instead of staying overnight as in previous years).
