Mele gave four ukulele workshops for a total of seven hours of classroom instruction at the Homer Alaska Ukulele Players Event.
On Saturday morning we began with the Foundation Class that lasted an hour and covered the history, types, parts, proper right hand and left hand techniques, and vocabulary of ukulele related terms. On Saturday afternoon we gave two 2-hour workshops to learn the Ukulele Mele Way by ear (without music).
The final 2-hour workshop was given on Sunday. Packaged song sets of book/DVD/CD were available for sale.
Forty people participated with some driving over 75 miles each way to participate and RV camped for the weekend.
