How exciting to be going through the Kennedy Center’s Concert Hall Stage Entrance to setup for our 1-hour concert! We made one trip loaded down with our PA system and instruments.
It all started when we answered a newspaper ad calling for musicians to submit a cassette tape of Hawaiian music. Then we received a letter saying to come to The Center for a live audition in front of a panel of judges. What an exciting process to go backstage of the Opera House to warm up and then to perform the best we could do in 5-minutes! When we got the call that we were accepted to represent the state of Hawaii and give a 1-hour concert we were honored!
