March. First "intensive course" requested of 10 lessons (two back-to-back lessons each day) for 5 days for a couple from Zurich, Switzerland who were cycling around the world. (Read more)

July. Added a new shopping cart system to the website. Now the merchandise page has a better look and feel, plus an add to cart feature “just like Amazon.” The effort took over a month to implement. We are pleased with the results and hope customers find it easy to navigate to find what they want to buy.
August. Participated in free 'ukulele lessons given at two different venues to compare with what I offer to the public at my 2-hour 'Ukulele Strumming Workshops. (Read more)
August. Updated the Nostalgic Hawaiian Songs Volume One and Volume Two in keeping with the consistent look and feel of Sing-Along Songs Volume One and Two that were updated in February and March. This new look will be the same for all the packaged song sets of book/DVD/CD to keep top of mind for all Ukulele Mele products.
September. Updated the Hapa Haole Songs Volume One to be consistent with the family of packaged song sets of book/DVD/CD.
October. Traveled to Tucson, Arizona to perform during our friend's Celebration of Life for 40 guests. Sang "In This Life" and "I'll Remember You", two songs with Hawaii flavor for our friend who grew up in Hawaii.
November. Updated the Mele Kalikimaka Volume One as the last of the family of 6 packaged song sets with the consistent look and feel for all packaged song sets.
November. Scheduled a "Ukulele Mele Music Week" of special classes and concert to celebrate the 7th year of teaching at Kaunoa Senior Center and the 5th year of being in business as Ukulele Mele On Maui. (Read the announcement). (Week's review).
December. Launched "Single Song Purchases" so that people can download the lesson for the song they want to learn one at-a-time (rather than with other songs in packaged song sets or online subscription lessons). In the spirit of the holiday season, the song Mele Kalikimaka was our free gift to users. In addition, lessons for Auld Lang Syne, Jingle Bells, Silent Night, and We Wish You A Merry Christmas were made available and announced via my monthly UKE News You Can Use newsletter to subscribers and on my facebook page. Wrote summaries of senior classes taught for each year from 2009-2016 as part of the "Through the Years" PowerPoint presentation given at Kaunoa Senior Center for the 4th Annual Christmas party. December. Opened the online Fan Club to the public rather than requiring registration. Now anyone can have access to listen to 97 audio recordings of additional songs arranged the Ukulele Mele Way that you can learn to play.
